Where most engagements start
SEO audit for Perth websites
Thirty minutes with your site on screen and a written list of what we would fix first, in the order we would fix it. Free, and there is no obligation at the end of it.
Most SEO proposals are written before anybody has properly looked at the site. The result is a package chosen from a menu rather than from evidence, which is how businesses end up paying for link building when the actual problem is that half their pages are not indexed.
An audit reverses that order. We look first, then say what is worth doing, and sometimes the answer is that search is not where your money should go. That conversation is shorter and considerably more useful than a proposal.
This is a manual audit, not an automated tool report. A crawler can tell you that forty pages have short meta descriptions. It cannot tell you that two of your category pages are competing for the same search, which is the sort of problem that actually costs money.
Who this suits
A good fit
- You have an existing site with some traffic that is underperforming
- You suspect something is wrong but cannot tell what
- You are considering hiring an SEO agency and want a second opinion first
- You have been paying for SEO and cannot see what it bought
Probably not a fit
- Your site does not exist yet, where the conversation is about structure instead
- You want a document to forward to a cheaper supplier to implement
- You want a score out of 100 rather than a list of decisions
What the work involves
-
Indexation and crawling
Which pages Google has actually indexed, which it has seen and rejected, and why. Pages that are not indexed cannot rank, and this is where the largest silent problems usually are.
-
What your pages compete for
Whether two or more of your pages chase the same search. Cannibalisation is common, invisible from the inside, and usually means both pages underperform.
-
The searches your buyers use
Not the vocabulary you use internally. The gap between the two is often exactly where the missing enquiries are.
-
Who is answering instead of you
The competitors and directories holding the results you want, and an honest read on whether those positions are reachable for your site this year.
-
Technical health that matters
Core Web Vitals, mobile rendering, redirects, canonical handling. We report what affects rankings or users and skip findings that exist only to lengthen a document.
-
A prioritised list
What we would fix first, second and third, with a rough sense of what each is worth. Priority order is the part most audits omit and the part that decides results.
How it runs
-
You send the URL
Nothing else needed. We do not ask for Search Console access before we have spoken.
-
We look properly
Manual review plus crawl data, done before the call rather than during it.
-
Thirty minutes together
Your site on screen, findings in plain language, your questions answered directly.
-
You get the list
Written up afterwards and yours to keep, whether or not you work with us.
Common questions
Is the SEO audit really free?
Yes. It costs us time rather than money, and it is the most honest way we know to show what working together would be like. There is no obligation and no follow-up sequence.
What do you need from me to start?
Your website address. If we go further, read-only access to Google Search Console and Analytics helps considerably, but nothing is needed for the first conversation.
Will you just tell me I need SEO?
Not if you do not. We turn work down fairly often, usually when the problem is conversion rather than traffic, or when the margins will not carry the investment. We say so and point you at what would help instead.
How is this different from a free tool report?
A tool grades pages against generic rules. It has no view on whether a ranking is worth having, whether you can realistically reach it, or which of thirty issues to fix first. That judgement is the whole value of an audit.
